3 Types Of Roofs To Consider For Your Commercial Property

Whether you have owned your commercial property for years or if you just bought it and it's in need of a new roof, you may not know the first place to start. Depending on the location that you live in and your budget, there are several different options out there for you to choose from. Before you meet with your roofing company, this article will go over three different types of roofs for you to consider for your commercial property. Ready to learn more? If so, then read on.

1. Roof Membrane

If your commercial property has a flat roof, then you may want to go with a roof membrane. Roof membranes use one large piece of sheeting as the roofing material rather than a bunch of different shingles. The great thing about roof membranes is that they are affordable, easy to install, and they tend to have a fairly long lifespan. The only downfall of a roof membrane is that they aren't quite as visually appealing, and they can only be used on flat roofs.

2. Asphalt Shingles

if your commercial property has any sort of elevated slope on it, then you should consider doing a shingled roof. The most popular type of singles out here are asphalt shingles. Why? Because they are fairly affordable and they come in a variety of different colors for you to choose from depending on the style you are going for. Plus, they last around 20 years on average which means that you won't have to worry about replacing it anytime soon. Another unique benefit of asphalt shingles is that if one or two shingles gets damaged, you can usually just replace those without having to replace the entire roof.

3. Metal Roofing

If the architecture of your commercial property is more modern on the outside, then you may want to add a metal roof to it. Metal roofs are a lot more expensive than other types of roofs, but they last a really long time, which is a huge payoff. Another great benefit of metal roofs is that if you live in a part of the country that gets a lot of snow, the snow will slide right off the roof, so you don't have to worry as much about water damage or leaks.

About Me

Working With Distinguished Roofing Companies One day when we were all sitting in our living room, I thought I felt a drop of water fall onto my arm. At first, I figured it was my imagination, but when the second one fell, I knew we had an issue. After looking in my attic, I could tell what the problem was, and I knew I had to fix it. I started looking for ways to stop the water immediately, but it just wasn't working for me. Fortunately, roofers came out, fixed the problem, and showed me what I needed to do to clean up the mess. Read more on this blog.
